C'est chaud

Can you use 'c'est chaud/c'est moche' etc to talk about the conditions that the weather has created? For example, at the hight of summer it's not uncommon to hear 'c'est chaud' as one enters someone's home.

Hi Philip,

Those two expressions refer to the situation rather than the weather in particular. So they won't be translated literally as 'it's hot' or 'it's ugly'.

Take a look at the following page on 'c'est chaud' -

https://french.stackexchange.com/questions/42797/cest-chaud-its-crazy

When you say  'c'est moche' - it will be a negative comment like,  'it's awful ' so it might refer to the weather or not depending on the context.

Bonne Continuation !
