You might say

Je ne participe plus aux compétitions internationales

specifically as you would say in the singular -

participer à une compétition

but

Je ne participe plus à des compétitions

This is a general comment.

Je ne fais plus de compétitions

is correct.

As the expression is -

faire une/des compétition/s
