and I often go for walks...

Should it not be: "et je vais souvent promenader dans le jardin."

rather than: "et je fais souvent des promenades dans le jardin." given as correct?

Hi Paul,

The verb 'promenader' doesn't exist in French it is the reflexive 'se promener' so it would be -

Je vais souvent me promener

and a bit above the A1 level for this exercise.

Bonne Continuation !

Pretty tough distinction at A1 level I would agree, but your suggested answer translates as  ‘to go walking often ’ versus ‘ often go (faire in French) for (some) walks’ - the first has the verbal expression including ‘walking’, the 2nd the noun ‘walks’.

The example marked correct fits with the transcript here, and the suggested vocabulary to research before undertaking, but again I agree that is a tough one.  (Was there no extra hint to help ?)

"Faire une promenade" is the phrase most often heard in everyday French.
