Did anyone else have trouble understanding this sentence?
I'm pretty sure that the quiz got the question on "vert" wrong. Could you please check that out?
Hello
So on the writing challenge test,( If I could start all over...). I translated the last sentence "I could even get a dog." using "pouvais" meaning "able to" but the correct translation was using "pourrais" the conditional form. Please clarify!,Thank you, Karen
Salut,
J'ai du mal à comprendre pourquoi faut utiliser le passé composé dans cette phrase:
On a été extrêmement impressionnés par la profondeur des galeries : on a du mal à comprendre ce que représentent six millions de corps !
Merci beaucoup :)
Hi, I'm having trouble understanding the way "tout" acts in sentences when being used as a pronoun. In another lesson it says that "tout" can be used as a pronoun, however in passé composé the structure is usually: "subject + object pronoun + auxillary verb + past participle", for example "Je l'ai mangé".
My understanding is that the correct sentence would be "J'ai tout mangé", and not "Je tout ai mangé". Could someone please help me understand, is there a rule for as to why tout behaves differently than others?
In the third to last sentence, "puis j'enchaînerai avec quelques séries d'abdos," is "entraînerai" the correct verb? It means to work out or be in training so it seems to me it would be more appropriate here. Enchaînerai means to "be linked", in this context, does that mean to "follow or continue with"? Thanks.
The corrections give the options of both subjunctive and indicative conjugation following the verb "esperer". Can you clarify? Thanks
I think I understand WHAT to do if I need to choose an accent mark on a quiz, but I cannot do it correctly. Could you please explain explain it very thoroughly, step by step? It doesn't let me hold down the letter, or else I don't understand how to do it. I am getting answers wrong only for that reason, but I can't seem to correct it. Am I supposed to go to the choices before or after I type the letter that needs the accent mark or something completely different? Thank you.
Why is it that "délicieuses" is plural, in agreement with "moules", and not with "l'air"?
As voir is not a preposition, why is être used? Is is because the verb is intransitive in this case? So, its better to not only look for prepositions following the verb, but how it is used? This is my logic, and is it acceptable?
