I teach Spanish and French.  In the preterit Spanish, SABER (their equivalent of savoir) carries the idea of someone finding out a fact or knowing it for a short time.  Is this true in French in the passé composé?

In other words, does "j'ai su son nom" carry the idea "I found out his name"?  Or even "I knew his name; but forgot it"?

Why does the question asking for the conjugation of s'asseoir mark the answer "Nous nous assoyons"  in favour of "Nous nous asseyons" when according to the LESSON on this subject provides both conjugations ?

When to use être à vs the possessive pronouns? Spoken vs written or are they just interchangeable?

Hey, please what's the difference between "Je m'ai fait peur" and "Je me suis fait peur"? Which is more correct and why? Especially since faire is conjugated with avoir in passé composé.

Just FYI a few of the lines of text do not show the translation when you hover over them.

Why is it not "Je fais du diner" or "je fais le diner"? Why is it "a" instead?

I am not sure when to use:  Leur/s, or les, for instance...is it leur with people and les with things?

I have 2 questions
1-
can I use indirect object or direct object  before the verb for "penser à" when I talk about people? 
and what is the rule for 
Je pense à Lui(tom) 
je lui pense or je le pense?? (does it work with any of them?)
2-how can I inverted imperatif with penser à for people
pense à moi  or pense moi (whicj one is true?)
