What is the difference between reflechir and penser? Their usage are quite confusing.
Hi guys,
I still don't get it.. I thought you could use c'est if after you have un, une, le, la, les, des. Then, why people use c'est ma mère instead of elle est ma mère ? Thank you
Pourriez-vous expliquer l'exemple "Nous n'habitons pas ici depuis très longtemps.", s'il vous plait ?
Merci

Please help!

Can someone please explain the second part of this sentence (in the "Tip" box of the lesson)? I'm not clear what "...and not regardless of which, like with verbs such as..." part of the sentence means.
You won't use this in Indirect Speech where whether = if and not regardless of which, like with verbs such as se demander (to wonder) or savoir (to know).
Is there a difference in meaning between "J'ai été là pendant quarante-cinq minutes" vs. "J'étais là pendant quarante-cinq minutes"? My inclination was to use passé composé because it was an action that happened and ended, but I see the latter sentence in the lesson example. Can someone please explain the difference?
I think this is a typo in the last sentence. It should be "cet après-midi" not "cette".
