Why is "le proffeseur n'aime que lui" wrong (correct: elle) when "Pauline n'aime que lui" is a correct example?

Why isn't the first sentence "Qu'est-ce que vous pensez de nouvelles technologies ?" "New technologies" is a general statement, as speakers are not talking about specific tech, and the responder even answers by generally referencing "ces nouveaux appareils."

I have a question regarding "lequel"...

I still dont get when to use "que" and "lequel".....

There is one sentence i found from online news article and the use of "lequel" in it confuses me..

Le racisme, c'est l'idée selon laquelle l'espèce humaine serait composée de plusieurs races différentes.

It is literally the first sentence of the article and so nothing has been mentioned before that sentence. Regardless the "laquelle" has been used along with "selon", preposition. Also, when I translate it based on a dictionary, it means "according to which". It sounds so weird if i apply it onto the whole sentence. 

So, my questions are.......

1. is it necessary to use "selon laquelle or can I simply use "que" instead? (Like "c'est l'idée QUE l'espèce humaine serait....")

2. And just like "dans lequel" which can simply translate as "where(=où)", does "selon lequel" also mean something simple other than its dictionary meaning, "according to which"? 

I would appreciate for any reply!

I looked it up so know that it means "I just have to touch your marble" but can this be explained on how it means that? Why is plus included in this ?

The correct version of this dictation indicates that evenement has an accent aigu over the first "e" and an accent grave over the second.  The dictionary I refer to (Merriam-Webster's French-English and English-French) spells it with two accents aigus.  I checked it again in another bilingual dictionary (by J.O.Kettridge, Officier d'Academie F.S.A.A., ETC) and it also showed the word with both accents being aigu.  Would you clarify this for me (I would hate to spend the rest of what remains of my life spelling evenement  improperly.  Thank you.  (I should also point out that in the final text you provided, both of the accents are aigu.

Hi, can you please tell me why one uses the subjunctive in the above sentence. I thought that you only used the subjunctive if the subject of the main clause and the subclause were different. In the sentence above, they are the same.

In the sentence ‘Notre nouvelle édition s’est enrichie des nombreux artistes...’ I wonder if ‘des’ should be changed to ‘de’ as per the lesson. If not, could you please explain why.
