The text uses the infinitive for "je passerai la soiree a parler ..." and the gerund for "Geraldine s'ennuiera en ecoutant ..." Why is the infinitive used in the first part of the sentence and the gerund used in the second part?
How would you say "I'm going to get my nails done today." ? I thought "Je vais me faire faire les ongles aujourd'hui ", but am not sure.
The phrase “In case I’m late, I’ll take my keys.” Is shown to be correctly translated as:
“Au cas où je serais en retard, je prendrai mes clés.”
My answer, “Au cas où je suis en retard . . . “ was marked incorrect. Why?
To me, “I’m late” translates to “I am late.”
In the question "On ________ passé par là?", should there not be an 's', in this particular case, at the end of passé?
In one of the writing exercises, I translated "I love my cousin Benjamin" to, "J'aime bien mon cousin Benjamin", but the system corrected this to "J'aime beaucoup mon cousin Benjamin". Why? It actually seems to me that "J'aime bien" is more appropriate than "J'aime beaucoup" (I like a lot).
"Comme des mots-clic" but " des hashtags en tant que" Why not "comme des hashtags"?
