Je suppose qu'on peut dire "Elle est froid(e)" pour signifier "Elle n'est pas chaleureuse"? Ai-je raison? Si oui, est-ce que l'adjectif accord avec le sujet dans ce cas?
Hello,
Would you kindly explain the "en ferait rougir plus d'un"? I am not sure what the speaker is saying about Damien. Is she implying that Damien has a way on making someone blush (with embarrassment perhaps)?
Merci!
Why does, "I think that I am ready" not trigger the subjunctive and make it "je pense que je sois prête"?
I am confused because I thought 2nd and 3rd verbs were always spelled out in full so i put aller here.
Hello,
One question I have always been wondering is with the phrase "Comment vas-tu ?"
In this instance, would this be considered a formal or informal question? For example, would you use this phrase with friends? It seems conflicting that the use of "tu" would be formal in the inverse because the nature of "tu" from what I've understood to be quite formal. Could I get some clarification?
Thank you,
Eveline
Puis-je avoir why not apostrophe j' ?
The text says "Note that in each case where être is the auxilliary, the verb passer is followed by a preposition (en, sur, dans, à etc.). "
But then we have the example "Elle est passée chez Laurent hier"
Surely "chez laurent" is a noun?
Some of the lines are still being skipped.
J’ai besoin d’écouter la phrase au moins deux ou trois fois, mais le buton ne fonctionne après s je me sens frustré , eulement un ou deux fois . Je me sens frustré
