In my dictionary, the verb, sail, is translated as "naviguer" or "faire de la voile". The latter, which I used in the first sentence, was accepted. I believe that "faire de la voile" was not accepted in the second sentence nor in the last sentence of this exercise. Is there a distinction that I am missing or is it just a question of the use of variation in this paragraph?
Hello folks! I hope someone can enlight me
why does it say '' Ou' tu vas?'' instead of '' Ou' vas tu?''. Shouldn't we inverse the sentence?
Marc aime les film’s dr Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson
In the phrase, "où ils lui ont confisqué son portable", Why is "lui" there? If it's a pronoun for "him" why does it need to be there? (The subject is "they", the verb is "confiscated" and the object is "his mobile phone".) What grammer rule requires "him" to be part of this sentence? Is there a lesson that explains the answer (I feel like I've missed something).
Could you use "je suis pressé(e) de..." for "I can't wait to...". i.e. Je suis pressé(e) de découvrir le manoir hanté...
I thought I had seen that construction suggested as a possibility somewhere in the past, but I'm never quite sure if it rings correctly to a native speaker, or if that sounds more like "I'm in a hurry to..." (i.e. more stressed than excited).
I translated mortgage as "hypothèque" but that wasn't one of the accepted answers. What's the difference between hypothèque and emprunt immobilier?
Will you be doing an Italian course at some time? Thank you.
Just to ask why it is "de conseils" , not "des conseils" ?
Is it because it is a continuation of "plein de" ?
I believe plein de is invariable, i.e. would never use des.
e.g. "plein de trucs" , "plein de choses"
Thanks
Paul.
