I'm inferring from the context that "clou" here means something like "highlight" or perhaps "grand finale", but I was unable to anything like this sense in the reference materials that I have on hand. Help in sorting this out will be appreciated.

J'ai peur des araignées. just as it is excluded from the verbal phrase:
J'ai besoin de farine. or even : J'ai besoin d'araignées
It seems inconsistent. Is it?
Does effort refer to the skiing activity or to the production of the raclette ? The sentence seems a bit ambiguous.
I think you should also allow "j'encourage" for "I support" ?
