Dalida was an exceptional French-speaking singer! Still today, she remains one of the most popular artists in France. Dalida spent her childhood in Egypt with her two brothers. Her parents, who were Italian, settled there because her dad worked at the Cairo Opera as a violinist. In 1954, she moved to Paris, in France, in order to pursue her dream to become an actress. In the end, she became a singer. During her career that lasted three decades, Dalida sold millions of records. She recorded songs in seven languages, but most of her biggest hits are, of course, in French.

Clever stuff happening!
