I really loved spending New Year's at my friend Vincent's place in Liège, in Belgium. I didn't know any Belgian traditions so it was very interesting! For example, I discovered the delicious "boukètes"! These are sweet crepes made with buckwheat flour. You add raisins or apple slices with some sugar and you eat them with a nice mulled wine. I also learnt that, for New Year's, you must place a coin under your plate to bring good luck to everyone!
